Make the most of your Holidays at CodeCamp!

coding-for-kids-dronesAt CodeCamp, we believe kids learn the most when DSC_0287they’re having fun. That’s why our programmes offer a wide range of both indoor and outdoor activities, from group work and games to simply running around outside! Outdoor robotics such as spheros allow kids to make the most of 21st century technology without having to be stuck inside all day, so make sure your child comes along with a sunhat and sunscreen!

Who:

Children with an urge to learn more about computers, coding, 3D design, robots, electronic building blocks and how to create their own inventions, games,  animations & apps.

How:oz-bot

We have a programme that is fun and engaging for the kids. We avoid sitting on the computer all day, it’s a mix of screen time, social engagement, collaboration and working with Robots and Electronic Building Blocks.

All programmes are designed around STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math)

Students are split into teams of 4 based on their age. We have a 1:8 student/teacher ratio

Children are to supply their own lunch. We’ll supply the water & activities, there will be plenty of different things to do i.e. tennis, cricket, netball, ball games, other team activities etc.

Students will be introduced to their streams and a tailored programme based on preference over the course of the week. Students have the choice of crossing over to different streams to explore & mix things up, with planned rotation schedules. We will be working on a Final Project to present to other students and parents on the last day. (We’ll be recording the presentations if you can’t make it!)

*Bring your guitar or what ever instrument you play. Music inspires creativity! Just like the other genius with round glasses said “We’re making the future out of the now!”

What:

Students will learn:

  • Basic programming, engineering & 3D design concepts
    DSC_0280

  • Older students will delve deeper into programming concepts and languages. Programming & connecting to real world objects through the cloud.
  • Advanced: An introduction to remote repositories, pushing and saving their code for retrieval later and building a portfolio of projects.
